Kent A. Misener, CFA

CEO of Crossroads Investment and Chief Portfolio Manager

Kent graduated from Utah State University in 1976 with Bachelor of Science degrees in economics and finance. Kent also obtained his MBA from Utah State University in 1977. Since then, he has served as a bond portfolio manager, treasurer, and, currently, Chief Investment Officer managing over $5 billion in assets for a large private benefits management company. Kent has served as a member of several boards and committees including corporations, foundations, non profits, government agencies and a high net worth family office including: Intermountain Healthcare, Arkona Inc., Deseret First Credit Union, The Community Foundation of Utah, and The Virginia G. Piper Foundation. He has appeared as an expert witness concerning investment returns in federal trials. He has also been a guest speaker at national conferences concerning global and national financial markets , and has lectured on the benefits of active investing. Kent’s personal interests revolve around his family, participating in triathlons, and working with and for the betterment of young people.


Brian Israelsen, CFA, CPA

Vice President, Senior Equity Analyst

Brian acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Utah State University in 1983, and a Masters of Accounting (Taxation) from the same institution in 1984. For the past 11 years, Brian has served as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Manager for a large private insurance company, assisting in the management of over $5 billion in investment assets. Prior this time, Brian served for over 16 years managing tax research, dealing with IRS audits, and managing the preparation of consolidated tax return filings for various large institutions, including Price Waterhouse - an international accounting firm, American Stores Company, and Kennecott Services Company (Rio Tinto). Prior to this time, Brian worked as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand - another international accounting firm. Brian enjoys spending time in a variety of activities with his wife Megan and their six children.

Gregory R. Misener, Esq.

Chief Compliance Officer

In 2002, Greg received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications/Public Relations from the University of Utah. Greg went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate degree from the Jacob D.Fuchsberg, Touro College of Law in New York. While in law school Greg served as an intern for Judge Renee Roth of the Manhattan Surrogate Court. He also worked as a staff member for Touro’s Journal of Race Gender and Ethnicity, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of The Restatement - Touro’s student newspaper.

Don A. Tanner

Vice President, Business Strategy

Don graduated from Utah State University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance. Since 1992, he spent 18 years as a Senior Consultant for Franklin Covey and is currently a Regional Vice President for Partners In Leadership. In these roles, he has been a highly sought after business consultant to hundreds of leadership teams and organizations in North America, Europe, Australia, Singapore, Asia and the Middle East, including Allstate, Hewlett Packard, American Express, HSBC, Accenture, Verizon, Xerox, DuPont, GlaxoSmithKline, Comcast, NASA and all branches of the US military. Prior to this, he worked in banking and as a senior financial advisor. During this time he taught for five years at the University of Southern California and Loma Linda University in their departments of continuing education on topics related to the financial services industry. Don enjoys golfing, skiing, running and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He lives with his wife Kristine in Bountiful, Utah.

Clint J. Biesinger

Institutional Sales Consultant

Clint has evaluated municipal debt across the nation and has traded and underwritten bonds in almost all 50 states. Producing for Wells Fargo in the company's Brokerage Services Division, Clint specialized in trading and underwriting municipal bonds for the last 11 years. During that time, Clint worked with municipalities, investment bankers, institutional sales people, banks, and many other buyers of fixed income securities. Clint holds degrees in Finance and Accounting from the University of Utah and also earned an MBA from the Gore School of Business at Westminster College graduating summa cum laude. Clint enjoys spending time with his wife, Tanya and their five children, as well as sporting activities, camping and attending cultural events.
